Welcome to the TinyTalk classes of
Emma Hopps
I’m Emma, a mum of 3, and a Primary School teacher for 11 years. I first heard of TinyTalk in 2013 when I was pregnant with my eldest daughter. As a teacher with a specialism in English Language, baby signing really appealed to me and I put our name down before my daughter was even born!
The baby signing classes quickly became our favourite baby class, because as well as getting us out of the house and meeting other mums,

TinyTalk teaches the parents and carers too, baby signing is something that connects you and your baby even when you’re not in class.
My daughter quickly picked up signs such as “milk” and “food” which eliminated frustration as she tried to communicate her needs. So many tantrums avoided because she could tell me what she wanted!
I am so excited to now have the opportunity to bring these classes to other families in Hull and East Yorkshire so we can all have fun, make friends and learn signs to help other babies communicate too!
Our baby signing classes are suitable to start from birth to approximately 2 years old. The sessions are one hour long; the first half is baby signing with singing, movement songs, musical instruments and a sensory activity. At TinyTalk we recognise the importance of classes for you too and therefore the second half is social time with toys for the babies to play with, and a nice hot cup of tea or coffee and biscuits for you and a chance to have a chat, socialise and find support with the other parents and carers.

I love baby signing because:It’s like a key to your baby’s thoughts! It has saved many a tantrum, it’s fun as well as helpful.
