Welcome to TinyTalk Croydon! I’m Naomi, TinyTalk teacher for Croydon and mum to my very own lockdown baby and TinyTalker Isla (10 months).
I was introduced to TinyTalk years ago when I was training as a Speech and Language Therapist. I thought it was an amazing way to help babies develop their communication skills as well as it being a super fun and engaging class! Fast-forward to 2020 when I had my own baby, I knew I wanted
I was introduced to TinyTalk years ago when I was training as a Speech and Language Therapist. I thought it was an amazing way to help babies develop their communication skills as well as it being a super fun and engaging class! Fast-forward to 2020 when I had my own baby, I knew I wanted
to take Isla to TinyTalk. She loves playing with the instruments and watching all the other parents and babies having fun! She soon started signing ‘milk’ and getting super excited when I signed ‘bath time’. Her current favourite sign is ‘get up’ as she constantly wants to be on the move!
TinyTalk classes are an hour long and focus on a theme each week! We have 30 minutes dedicated to singing a range of popular nursery rhymes and action songs to help teach signs to your little ones. Each week we also introduce some core signs that can be used throughout the day, including ‘milk’, ‘food’, ‘more’, ‘all gone’ which can help ease any frustration and give your baby a way of communicating before they can speak. We have sensory activities using bubbles, scarves and many more! We then have half an hour for socialising which is your chance to chat to other parents and have a nice drink and a biscuit/cake (or two!) whilst your baby plays and develops their social skills.
TinyTalk Baby Signing classes are aimed at babies from birth to 2 years and are a fantastic way to support their speech and language development.
