Hi! My name is Eve and I started TinyTalk East Perthshire and Dundee West because I've seen how much teaching signs to little ones can help them to grow and develop, can help avoid (some!
) tantrums, can be a bonding activity, and can give parents and babies an amazing tool for communicating!
I took my daughter to TinyTalk classes and loved seeing how children learn and develop their skills through songs, how their confidence grows at each class and how much fun they have! I also enjoyed the relaxed feeling of community in the classes and the swapping of stories that made many of us feel that we were surrounded by others going through similar things.
What can you expect at a TinyTalk class? We will show you British Sign Language signs through songs, stories and play, and, most importantly, have a bit of fun! We will also enjoy time for an often much-needed cuppa and biscuit while the babies play and parents/grandparents/carers get to know each other.
Your little one can learn and play through sensory activities, and can learn to communicate before they can talk. However, the use of incorporating BSL signs doesn't end there. Even once your baby can talk to you, signs are a great way for them to continue to learn new skills, increase their social abilities and confidence, and to feel proud of their accomplishments!
Our classes are for babies from birth to 24 months and class topics don't repeat across a year, so as babies' interests develop so do the classes.
