Baby Signing classes in Hitchin & Letchworth

Hello! Welcome to TinyTalk Baby Signing Hitchin & Letchworth. My name is Emma, I’m your local TinyTalk teacher and mum to Ivy and Jack.

I took Ivy to her first TinyTalk class when she was 3 months old. Straight away, I could see how she enjoyed the music, the sensory elements, and of course, all the toys!

I didn’t think the signing element of the class would come into play until she was a bit older, but after a few weeks, I started to notice her reaction whenever I used a sign she liked.

When she was a little fussy, I used the sign for ‘milk,’ and her face lit up – that was exactly what she wanted!

Now that she’s a bit older, more signs are starting to come through. Her favourite sign at the moment is ‘cat. ’ Jack is taking his role as big brother very seriously, making sure he learns the signs that are important to her too. Our family uses lots of signs around mealtimes; no need to get hangry here!

I’ve always been fascinated by babies experiencing the world for the very first time. Communication is so important to their development, and it’s a privilege to watch. All those little movements, the way they look at you, and their babbling – it’s all signs that they want to talk to you!

By using signs, you can understand what your child wants, feels, or needs before they’ve learnt how to speak. It’s a window into their mind, and I’m so excited to help you share it with your baby.
