Hello!! Welcome to TinyTalk South Manchester. I am your local TinyTalk Teacher and I begun my Tiny Talk journey at the start of 2024. I have 2 children of my own, Jack is 6, and Isabelle is 4. I have attended Tiny Talk with both children, and between us we must be using over 200 signs! I have been a primary school teacher for over 10 years, however when the opportunity to start running Baby Signing classes came up I jumped at the chance. It is amazing to see how little ones can make themselves understood by using signs to communicate before they have a voice.
I run Baby Signing classes on a Thursday morning at United Didsbury Methodist, in Didsbury and then two classes on a Friday. Friday morning's class is at St James and Emmanuel in Didsbury and Friday afternoon's class is at Westcroft Community Centre in Burnage.
TinyTalk classes are 1 hour long, in the first half hour we have lots of fun introducing the sign in nursery rhymes, songs, books and games. The signs are based on a weekly theme and we also introduce some sensory activities to develop your babies communication skills and musical instruments. The second half hour is social time for you and your little ones! You can enjoy a brew and a biscuit whilst you have a chat with other local parentss and your little one learns to play and interact with others.

Favourite Sign:hedgehog
Qualifications:Ba Hons in Dance Performance and Teaching, PGCE in General Primary with QTS
Favourite Film:Oooh tough one, I think Chicago, or anything Disney related!
Secret Passion:Dancing, although it’s not much of a secret with a Degree in Dance
I love baby signing because:It provides children with the chance to communicate before they know how to talk, or when they can't always find the word. Both of my children sign and speak at the same time when they can!

Directions:There is plenty of on street parking, the car park at the church is very small.
When you come through the main door, follow the corridor round to Room 2. There will be TinyTalk signs throughout the building.
