Hello! Welcome to TinyTalk Sutton, Carshalton & Cheam. I am Becky your local TinyTalk teacher.

I first came across baby sign whilst studying British Sign Language. When I had Reuben in 2009 I knew that this was something I wanted to do with him. We started signing to him at 7 months and by a year old he had a signing vocabulary of about 20 words. Baby Sign gave us an amazing insight into his world. His first sign was ‘where’ which we taught him after he kept throwing things out of his high chair and we would ask him ‘where is it’?! Reuben is now an avid talker but we are back into the world of baby signing at home with Jacob having been born in January. We are signing 'milk' to him daily and are looking forward to the moment when he does his first sign!

I thoroughly enjoy teaching TinyTalk classes. They are fun and relaxed and a great way to make new friends. For half an hour we sing popular nursery rhymes with props, learn signs based on a weekly theme, and make lots of noise with instruments! In the second half of the class the babies have a chance to play with toys whilst you get treated to refreshments (tea and chocolate biscuits being most popular to date!) and have the chance to catch up with friends, or make new ones.
