Hello and a big welcome to TinyTalk Enfield!
My name is Zahra and I am your TinyTalk teacher for Enfield. I live in Oakwood with my husband and our boys Theo and Lucas. I started signing with Theo when he was 6 months old.

Our first ‘Magic Moment’ was when he was 7 months old and we were walking around Sainsbury’s, after munching on a rice cake and becoming fussy I asked him what
was wrong, he straight away responded with the ‘more’ sign. With a face of amazement I gave him another, he grabbed it and munched away happily, he continued to ask for ‘more’ the whole way around the shop until the bag was empty. More signs quickly followed as he realised they got him what he wanted and definitely reduced the temper tantrums due to misunderstandings. By 2 he was signing or speaking over 300 words.
Lucas at the age of 2 knew over 200 signs with an extensive vocabulary.
Tiny Talk baby signing classes are engaging and educational whilst also being lots and lots of fun. What is so clever is you won't even be aware of just how much you are learning as we teach the signs through songs and stories. You and your baby will develop the skills to be able to communicate with each other using signs which will actually help them to have better vocabulary when they are able to talk.
Positive mental health is really important to us at Tiny Talk- which is why an integral part of our sessions is the social time. I will provide you with a lovely hot drink and a biscuit, and you get to enjoy a sit down and chat whilst your little ones are entertained.
Also did you know that singing is an amazing way to get the endorphins going and can really help combat post-natal depression. So not only are you and your baby learning an amazing life skill by signing, you are also doing something really positive for you!
I am really excited about getting to know you and your baby and helping you on your baby signing journey. I am sure you will fall in love with Tiny Talk classes as much as I did!
