Over the following weeks and months, he continued to pick up other signs such as *food*, *wave hello* and *pick me up* but he understood a lot more signs before he could do them himself. This made it handy for when *daddy* was on his way *home* from work and to see his beaming smile when I'd sign *mummy* *loves* *you*, is one of the sweetest memories I have.

Not only did signing help build the communication between us, it also gave me an opportunity to meet other parents and grandparents and to gain vital support from them with the various stages of a growing baby. We'd also celebrate each others success when each others babies would get to a new stage such as crawling or when they would learn another sign.

I became so passionate about it that I jumped at the chance to become a TinyTalk teacher when the opportunity arose as I would love to help other parents/grandparents/carers learn this wonderful skill and language.

TinyTalk classes are 1hour long. The first half of the session used for learning the different signs each week through various themes *bathtime*, *bedtime* etc. All the signs are taught through singing nursery rhymes to help both adult and baby learn together. The second half of the class is the social time, where the babies can play with *toys* in the middle whilst the adults can sit with a hot *drink* that I will provide to you along with some well deserved *biscuits*.
