Becoming a first time Mum just days after the UK announced the Covid lockdown restrictions was challenging, which is an understatement. It taught me the HUGE value of having a close connection with other parents who were going through the same as me.

I have trained to become a TinyTalk teacher to give parents in my local community the fantastic opportunity of finding a CONNECTION with other parents. I truly believe that learning to COMMUNICATE with our babies from a young age, with supportive parents around us, is an amazing skill. TinyTalk can help you to do this, in a fun and friendly environment.
Understanding what your baby needs and easing their frustration, by teaching them the signs to tell you what they want, need, or are interested in, is simply amazing. The benefits of Baby Signing, for you and your little one, are incredible.

TinyTalk Baby Signing classes are suitable for babies 12 weeks to 2 years old. It is an interactive class, with a different theme every week, such as food, animals, families or body parts. We teach a total of 150 signs throughout the programme, starting with the essentials: milk and sleep.

The class consists of half an hour of singing and signing along to popular nursery rhymes. We have puppets, sensory activities including bubbles, flashing balls, scarfs and instruments. Then there is half an hour for parents/carers to enjoy a hot drink and yummy biscuits, having a well-deserved chat, whilst the little ones interact and play.

Remember that “it takes a village to raise a child”. I have genuinely made some fantastic friends, who I met over 3 years ago, when I had a tiny baby, attending baby classes. These true friends have helped me through difficult times and we continue to support and care for each other and our children. We do it together.
