""STORY:So cute to see! Tylor was stirring and groaning in his sleep just now, I go up to see if he's OK, I tuck him back in, and with him still pretty much asleep and eyes close, he signs 'sheep'. At first I though he signed 'cat', so said cat in a puzzled voice, to which he signs 'sheep' again, and grabs his woolly sheep teddy, snuggles down and goes back to sleep. Bless him. Thanks to Mum Sara for sharing this story!

Having fun with mirrors, the human face is very interesting to a baby!

""Just received the graduation certificates for Sophie and Sonny for TinyTalk toddlers programme. I am really sad that you won't be doing it anymore, and we have been spoilt by having the best!!! We've all loved coming to your classes and I swear by signing and believe that's why Sophie and Sonny communicate as well as they do. Wish you all the best, you are a fantastic teacher and you won't be forgotten not only do the babies still sign they always ask for baby signing biscuits (rich tea fingers) x x

""STORY:A massive thank you to you Maria Holloway. Tiny talk has been fantastic for our family and even now I still use signing with Seth! I believe it has been a huge help in their development of speech! Either that or they take after me, talking so much!!! I would, and will recommend TinyTalk to everyone. It's such a beautiful gift to be able to communicate with your child from such an early age. I will miss the classes so much! You are fantastic Maria and I will miss you loads! ""STORY:Just thought you may like to hear what Libby (Eaton TinyTalk) decided to do last week. My parents were visiting for the week, each morning after breakfast Libby would be left with Grandad whilst the clearing up was done. She starting asking him what the sign for .... ?was , then soon continued to show him. This continued for the rest of the week and by the time my parents left dad had gained a new skill!! (well about 20 signs).

Well done Libby a TinyTalk teacher for the future!

All gone, Dog, Bird, Frog, Rain are her favourites and she has made up her own sign for shower. It is a wonderful gift to be able to communicate and understand what she is thinking/looking at before she can speak. THANK YOU!!!!!

""I TOOK MY DAUGHTER TO BABY SIGNING AND IT IS THE MOST FANTASTIC THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOU AND YOUR BABY. I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT IT. WE WENT TO THE DEREHAM CLASS WHICH IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, AND MARIA WHO RUNS THE CLASS IS FANTASTIC. YOUR CHILD CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOU AND IN NO WAY DID I EVER THINK IT WAS SLOWING MY DAUGHTERS SPEECH. THIS IS SUCH A FANTASTIC SKILL FOR EVERY AGE, FOR LIFE. YOU MUST MUST AT LEAST TRY IT ONCE, I WAS A LITTLE UNSURE WHEN I FIRST ATTENDED, BUT COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH I ENJOYED IT, AND WAS HOOKED FROM THEN ON. MY DAUGHTER THRIVED, SHE IS NOW 2 1/2 AND HER SPEECH IS COMMING ALONG LEAPS AND BOUNDS BUT SHE STILL WILL SIGN AND SAY CERTAIN THINGS. SESSIONS ARE FUN AND YOU MEET NEW PEOPLE SO DO THE CHILDREN. FROM ALISON AND CHARLOTTE HURN.

ALISON AND CHARLOTTE HURN,

""STORY:This week when Sam did not want all his food he did the 'bird' sign. Previously I had said I would put out the uneaten bread for the birds!

""I started taking classes with my then 6 month old son after moving to the area from the US. I was looking to connect with some of the other moms in the community and soon found the formula of singing and signing and then coffee and a chat to be just what I was looking for. Maria is amazing and has the perfect mix of energy, enthusiasm and experience as a mom to 3 and creates a relaxed atmosphere for mothers and their babies and toddlers to enjoy together. I was skeptical as to whether or not my son would actually learn the signs but 14 months later he can't get enough of them and surprises me all the time with new signs. He has even started signing whole songs - twinkle, twinkle little star being a favorite. His grandparents are charmed! As a mom, It's been such a relief to know what he wants and needs and just fun to learn what he is thinking about before being able to talk. It has absolutely decreased his frustration and kept me and my husband sane. Thank you Maria and Tiny Talk for making communication possible with my son at such an early age. It has been a real solution to a challenging parenting time. And it's been great fun!

Elizabeth,

""STORY:Angus's Great Nannie loved that eveytime he said thank you he blew here a kiss! I didn't have the heart to tell her he was signing thank you also.

""The TinyTalk nursery training was ‘great – relaxed, fun & professional’ & the staff were made to feel relaxed for their Assessments. Maria was brilliant & very enthusiastic – a wonderful advert for TinyTalk. Maria made our training evenings fun and relaxed but in a professional manner. The parents were very impressed at how quickly the children have learnt new signs. We are delighted to be able to work with the TinyTalk ethos at Little owls.

""We have enjoyed your classes so much and are really going to miss them. Seb’s speech is fantastic, and I’m certain that this is at least in part due to the signing, as his new words always seemed to follow his signs early on. I know that there were times when Seb was ill that he managed to sign his needs so that we had fewer tears than we probably would have otherwise. I also found the classes really friendly, relaxed and fun – thank you.

Baby signing cuts down on frustration for you and baby!
""We started signing classes in Wymondham with Maria at the start of 2008 when Jacob was seven months old. Although he enjoyed the singing and playtime (and I enjoyed the tea, biscuit and chatting after!) Jacob wasn't showing any signs of 'signing'! I spoke to Maria who advised that boys can be a bit 'slower' when starting to sign (but not always!) so as we enjoyed the classes so much, we continued with them. I am so glad! At nine months Jacob started to clap and wave and at just gone a year old, he did what I call his first 'proper' signs- 'milk' and 'all gone'. He is now sixteen months old and can sign dog, rabbit, apple, fish and a number of others! It's so good knowing what he wants and what he is trying to tell me- thank you Maria!

""TinyTalk has got to be the best, most friendly, fun and relaxed class that Freddie and I have been to. It is so well run and I am amazed at how many of the signs Freddie can now do. The first was the cow sign when we were staying at my parents and he noticed them from a long way away in their field and starting doing it.. it was a very proud moment! It is great to go to a class which is structured (for the first half) and just social for the second half so you can chat to people. It is a bit like going to a birthday party but not having to do all the work, there are some fabulous toys for the children to play with during the social time. All the babies seem to really enjoy it and it is wonderful when you can start to communicate with your little one before they can really speak. We shall be very sad to leave it when the time comes...

""I just wanted to write & say a massive thank you to Maria for brightening up our Thursday mornings, she made the classes so much fun and yet we always learnt so much too, Grace was always mesmerised by Maria who's bubbly personality always made us feel incredibly at ease and as a result both of us caught on to signing really easily. It is wonderful tool for communicating and I would recommend TinyTalk classes to all Mums. Grace and I still do signing today as part of our daily routine it just comes naturally, and just last week when she was poorly, she kept signing doctor to me! Thanks Maria & TinyTalk!

""I have LOVED your classes so much. I started out a bit sceptical about sign language for babies but I am now totally convinced. Yes we get tantrums and plenty of them, but I know that without knowing what both my boys wanted through their signing, there would have been a lot more frustration for all of us! Although Matthew took his time speaking his first words, when he did he had an amazing vocabulary. Even the staff from his nursery commented on how advanced his speech was at the age of 2. Now aged 3 he is a very entertaining little chatterbox. He always resorts to sign language for extra emphasis, or if we are out of hearing range. Stephen is doing really well and I will continue to teach him more signs. Although he is not really talking yet, I know he understands a lot more!! P Keep up the good work!

""Hi Maria, Just a quick message to let you know how proud I am of Jared. He has gone from doing very few signs to loads in just a couple of weeks. He is suddenly soooo interested in what everything is, it's amazing! In 2 weeks he's learnt: Food, mouse, dog, bird, bath, car, telephone and can point to his head, belly button and nose. And to make things even better I don't think mummy is far off, he's had a block with that word/sign for a long time! Thanks again for all your help,

""Dear Maria, Thank you for teaching us to sign to each other, from such a young age. I'm positive that Charlie would have been frustrated as his hearing was so bad from glue ear in his early development. I wish that I had known how to sign with my older two children as they wanted me to understand them but the communication skills were not there! It has been a wonderful experience & I can't praise TINYTALK enough. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

""Akash and I have been attending sign classes since he was 13 months old. Being bi-lingual, he has been slow to talk/ say words, so sign has been very helpful. His first sign was for food and he still uses it now at the age of 22 months when he can say and use words. The classes capture his attention (which is usually hard to do) and he loves going there. He uses sign all the time. It's a shame that we won't be able to attend anymore. Many thanks.

""Hi! I'm Ellen's Mum and we started attending our Tiny Talk classes in Wymondham in the very week they started. Ellen loved it right from the start and we never missed a class. My little cherub was among the first to sign for milk and food and at 12 months old there's very few that she doesn't sign - life just gets easier every day (except when there really is no dinner left! - I had decided not to teach her 'more' but she got the hang of that in no time!) It's such a lovely class to attend, seeing the other babies grow and learn the signs too. Towards the end of the first term, our teacher Maria would start the class and a lot of the babies would crawl over and sit right in front of her - what a great teacher! Thanks for introducing such an excellent class - I'm highly recommending it to everyone - even friends who are still pregnant!!!
