Welcome to the TinyTalk classes of
Abigail Stocker
Hello and welcome to TinyTalk Leicester!My name is Abbie and I was awarded TinyTalk's 'Most Inclusive Teacher 2018-2019'! I have been signing since my Son, Ollie, was 6 months old. 4 weeks and 1 day after we went to our first
TinyTalk class he signed "milk" for the first time. I was amazed that
my 7 month old son could communicate what he wanted from me. Now,
he is the proud owner of his
150 sign certificate (at 21 months old) and has become a big
brother to Eric. He too did his first sign, “nappy”, at
7 months and by 2 years old had over 150 signs too!
When I had Ollie I decided there was no way I could go back to work and
leave him every day, so I gave up my job to be his mummy. It wasn't
until months later, when our TinyTalk teacher Heather was looking for a mini teacher that I
jumped at the opportunity and a couple of years later took over TinyTalk Leicester from her. I now have the chance to work with my children, helping others to have the wonderful relationship we have thanks to baby signing.
The youngest signer so far in my classes has been 14 week old. He attended classes from being 7 weeks old and started by signing "milk", he finished classes with over 100 signs at 2 years old! It just goes to show that they are always taking everything in around them and how the classes are there to enable you to sign at home and in everyday life.

Pet Hate:too much text speak - if it's more than the odd word/phrase I just can't read it!
Secret Passion:getting a long relaxing bath alone.
I most admire:Ollie, he is the bravest, kindest person I've ever had the pleasure to meet ❤️
I love baby signing because:It has enabled me to communicate effectively with my children before they could speak. It's helped us bond more and brought so much fun into our lives!
