Hello and Welcome to TinyTalk Leeds! My name is Wendy and this is my TinyTalker Annabelle.

I first found out about baby signing when I was pregnant with my daughter and was absolutely fascinated. When she was around 6 months we started attending classes. I was hooked and I am so passionate about baby signing that I decided to start classes in Leeds.

Annabelle did her first sign 'milk' a few weeks later. Even though it was at 4am it was a fantastic feeling. This was closly followed by duck, bed, food and dog (to name but a few!) Each new sign was just as exciting as the first. I have added some more of our signing stories on the scrapbook page.

Annabelle is now 2 and her speech is amazing. She is already forming sentences and many people think she is older than she is. I firmly believe that her speech has developed much faster than it would have without baby signing.

I am always thrilled when one of my mums tells me that their little one has started to sign.

Signing gives your baby the ability to tell you what they want, need and even what they are thinking about. I hope you decide to come and see for yourself how much fun signing with your baby can be.

My classes are fun, friendly and informal. During the first half an hour we have great fun singing nursery ryhmes and action songs incorporating the weekly themed signs. We then make lots of noise playing our instruments! Every third week we will also read and sign through a book together.

The second half of the class is social time. This gives you the chance to have a cuppa (and the odd choccie biscuit!)and make some new friends while your baby plays with the toys provided and socialises with other babies.
