Hi My name is Sara I am 32 with 2 little girls one age 4 and my other little girl was born in January. I found Tiny Talk a great way to communicate with my first daughter Sophie, by 6 months she was signing milk and from then on she was making progress very quickly. Other people especially grandparents were sceptical about baby sign language saying it will delay my childs speech etc My daughter is a true advert that this is not the case at all. Emily is already watching my hands and I just fit the signs in with my every day life ex. When I give her the bottle I do the milk sign to her so eventually she will grasp the idea, as she grows resulting to less tantrums as she will be able to tell me what she wants. Sign language has been a huge part of my life as my older brother was born deaf, its a great skill to have to be able to comminicate with others.
