Hello from TinyTalk York! I'm Rachel, the teacher for the York and Pocklington area. I also offer TinyTalk's organisational training programmes.

TinyTalk baby signing classes are 1 hour long and suitable for newborns to 2 year olds. In the first half of the class we sing and sign to well-known nursery rhymes and action songs. The second half is playtime for the little ones and I make you a well-deserved cuppa! This part of the class gives you the chance to chat with other parents and carers and ask me any specific questions.

NEW for September 2010 TinyTalk Toddlers, suitable for 18mths-3years. Same accessible class structure with more focus on the spoken word.

My family and I have had great fun signing with Ben, and are now enjoying starting to sign with Nellie. For Ben, the sign for 'milk' came first, quickly followed by 'more'! Beyond communicating his basic needs, signing has allowed Ben to share a little bit of his world with us - you can see some pictures of him signing on the 'scrapbook' page. It's been a fantastic way to involve grandparents, even those in America via webcam!
