TinyTalk baby signing and toddler talking classes are special. Time for you and your child (or grandchild if you are one of the growing set of grandparent daycarers!)to enjoy time together in a relaxed atmosphere learning a skill that will benefit all the family. Baby signing uses simple signs and meaningful gestures to help pre-verbal children communicate before they can talk - what an amazing gift to give!

I know from signing with my own children, Ben and Nellie, that when a child can communicate his or her needs, be it milk, food or sleep that carer and child feel good and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from being able to be understood. Beyond those basic needs baby signing also offers a window into a child's world. Nellie's signing is beginning to naturally reduce now as speech takes over. When she was a baby I loved being let in to her world, one that was filled with observation including ladybird, bee and baby spotting, and an ongoing donkey obsession! I continue to be amazed and signing really has become a family affair with big brother Ben, Daddy and grandparents all revelling in communicating easily and without frustration.

As babies become toddlers signing is still invaluable especially in deciphering those early words and easing frustration. Our new toddler classes expand the range of signs taught and are suitable for 18 months upwards. The much-loved nursery rhymes and action songs elements of the baby classes are retained and are joined by parachute games and language activities designed to promote good speaking, listening and sharing skills and perfect for the on-the-go toddler!
