Hello and welcome to TinyTalk Tynedale & Northumberland West. My name is Helen Angel and I have just joined the TinyTalk team and am enjoying teaching my first 2 terms of TinyTalk classes.

I attended TinyTalk classes with my two daughters. I went with Bracken when she was 5 months old and by the time she was 9 months she did her first sign "milk" quickly followed by "Mummy", "Daddy"(shown in picture) and "thank you". By the time Lois was born, Bracken was 17 months old and putting words together to form short sentences. I strongly believe that TinyTalk helped in her speech development. Lois went to her first sign class when she was 3 weeks old and signed from 10 months “all gone”, “more” and the letter ”B” for her sisters name. I loved the whole ethos of the classes, ½ hour of structured fun songs with associated signs and ½ hour socialising time for both them and me. We made some great friends and still get together regularly to play and have a chat.

TinyTalk classes are relaxed and friendly and structured in a way that makes learning the signs fun. The enjoyment and satisfaction you get when they do their first sign is such a heart warming feeling. The classes give you the opportunity to meet other parents and carers and make new friends, with the added bonus of chocolate biscuits and a cuppa.

If you would like to relieve the frustration of being unable to understand and communicate with your baby before they can talk, whilst also having lots of fun, then email for more details and come along to the classes.
