  Hello and welcome to TinyTalk Leicester. I am Heather the TinyTalk teacher for Leicester.
I first learned about baby signing when I was pregnant with Azad. Azad is 2 years old and the fun we have had with signing has been fantastic. I have four children in all but I did not know the benefits of baby signing with my older three.
I have been signing with Azad since day one but more seriously
 from when he was four months old. Azad was able to understand some signs but did not do his first sign untill around 7 months old when he signed more. At 11 months old Azad would point to a flower and attempt the sign, he would pronounce the sound for b and sign bird I was able to tell if he meant bird, burn or bye from his signs as he will always attempt to say the word as well.
On the way to becoming a TinyTalk teacher I taught a couple of toddlers some signs to help their speech and because of their fantastic signing they have been much happier being understood and their speech has improved also.
I have been teaching TinyTalk baby signing classes for one year we have some really enthusiastic parents that will have stories for the future with their little ones.
TinyTalk classes is a fun hour with half an hour signing to a well structured class whilst singing popular nursery rhymes. The other half hour is for you to relax with a cup of tea or coffee whilst your baby can play. This is a great time to socialize with other like minded people and a great time to ask me any questions.
