After being a primary school teacher for the past 15 years, it feels very natural to want to educate the littler ones since having my first baby!
I have enjoyed being a mum at tinytalk classes and was delighted when the opportunity arose to train and become a class teacher myself. Not only has Catherine, my daughter, started to sign, but I found a whole group of mums who were very supportive during those sleepless night periods and coffee time was a great time to share all those handy tips and hints that you would never have found out!
From her very first session, Catherine really enjoyed the singing and music, and it was really lovely to see her smiling at her favourite songs. Now Catherine has been attending Tinytalk for almost a year and she smiles her way through the class, attempting everything we do. It's great when Catherine can communicate her thoughts through sign, eventhough she doesn't have the spoken language yet. What's even better is that all those doubters have seen the results and are constantly asking me for different signs to practice with her to see if they too can communicate with her!
Tinytalk is such a wonderful way to meet other mums and for your baby to enjoy a structured, fun and interesting class, which keeps everyone on their toes!
