  Hello, my name is Bev Meier and I am the TinyTalk Teacher for the Uxbridge area.
I have been teaching Tinytalk for just over 4 years in the Uxbridge area. I am Mum to 3 boys, Josh aged 16 years, Sam aged 13 years and Nathan 4 years. We have recently added a puppy to our family who is a Ladradoodle called Bella.
I used TinyTalk classes with Nathan when he was a baby and
I have to say that it was such fun to learn the signs with all of our family which was an invaluable asset in that Nathan could communicate with his older brothers helping greatly with the bonding that happens between siblings. My Husband was quite slow to learn the signs, but after some prompting from our older Sons he did pick up the signs and use them with Nathan. He has not looked back.
Nathan is now 4 years old and is still using the signs he learned as a baby through the Reception class window at school which is great and causes some fascination with the other Mum’s in the collection line.
I am also training our puppy to recognise some of the basic signs and she seems to be responding well. This is a new project and will have to post an updated report.
The TinyTalk classes are an hour long. The first 30 minutes are spent learning our signs along with singing children’s songs and rhymes. We then have 15 minutes of musical instrument time and the last 15 – 20 minutes is social time where I provide a drink with biscuits, chocolate is always on offer for us Mums and for the babies I provide bread sticks and rice cakes for them when they are at the finger food stage.
The TinyTalk Babies class is aimed at babies from birth to 2 years.
The TinyTalk Toddlers class is aimed at toddlers from 20 months to 3 years.
Most of all in our Tinytalk Classes we all aim to have alot of Fun.
