Baby Signing Classes from TinyTalk

Baby Signing Classes are taking the UK by storm - with parents keen to take advantage of the boost baby signing gives to learning skills and the acquisition of language. The classes are also a wonderful opportunity to have fun with your baby - and with other parents and their children.

TinyTalk started their first baby signing class in 2002- and have since launched over 200 classes in towns and cities across the UK (and are now going international!) Started by an experienced teacher of deaf children, Katie Mayne, TinyTalk prides itself on training its teachers very thoroughly, making sure they're up to speed not only on the latest baby signs, but also on how to help parents teach and practise baby signs at home. Katie is currently a Finalist in Prowess' Inspirational Business Mum of the Year Award 2007- recognising her commitment to supporting other mums- through the TinyTalk Classes plus the TinyTalk Teaching Opportunity, allowing other mums to set up their own family-friendly business too!

The secret to our success seems to be that we make the classes so much fun - for both mum (and sometimes dad!) and baby.

We spend time learning new baby signs - practising them together and repeating them so that your baby learns to associate an action or image of an object with the baby sign.

We also sign nursery rhymes together, and give the babies time out from baby signing to play with toys - while the mums relax with a coffee and chocolate biscuit!.
